Doris Irene Christiansen, 68, of Savannah, MO died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the LaVerna Village in
Savannah, MO.

Graveside services and burial of cremated remains will be 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 at the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society and may be sent care of the Becker Dyer Stanton Funeral Home who is handling the arrangements.

Doris was born on Sept. 1, 1948 in Atchison KS the daughter of Raymond and Dorothy (Shoebrook) Maycroft. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1966. Doris worked as a machine operator for the former Mead Company, St. Joseph, MO. She enjoyed crocheting, riding and raising horses and was a animal lover.

She was married to Robert Christiansen in 1969. He preceded her in death in 2007. Survivors include two sons, Steven (Brenda) Christiansen, and James Christiansen, both of St. Joseph, MO, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, nieces, Paula and Stephanie, cousins Shirley (Dave) Dwyer, Elwood, KS, and Mary Lou (Bob) Weinmann, Smithville, MO, Uncle Bill Fultz, Atchison, KS. Her parents, husband, and a half brother, Paul Maycroft preceded her in death.
