Donald Earl Agnew, 64, of Atchison KS died on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Atchison Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Dec. 22nd, 2018 at St. Joseph Church with Fr. Jeremy Heppler, OSB officiating. Friends are also invited to visit with the family from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday afternoon out at Esther’s Restaurant (at Pineview) following the services. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Atchison Humane Society and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is handling the services. Don was born on January 30, 1954 in Atchison, KS the son of William and Esther (Morris) Agnew. He graduated from Maur-Hill in 1972. He earned a BA degree in Business from Missouri-Western College. Don managed Terrace Hills Apartments for over 5 years for Yarco Properties. He attended St. Joseph Parish as a young man, enjoyed fishing, gardening, making jewelry, photography, stain glass, and metal working for hobbies. Don was a big Kansas City Chiefs and KU Basketball fan. He especially enjoyed his family and grandchildren.

He was married to the love of his life, Karen Wohrna on Oct. 6, 2006. Karen survives of the home. Additional survivors include three sons, Tim (Meagan) Agnew, Westcliff, CO, Steve Agnew, Denver, CO, and Zach (Anne) Agnew, Atchison, KS, a daughter, Carina Agnew, Atchison, KS, four brothers, Harold (Marilyn) Agnew, Lawrence, KS, Mike (Nancy) Agnew, of Pennsylvania, Fred Agnew, Atchison, KS, and Gerard (Nancy) Agnew, Leavenworth, KS, three sisters, Anna Cooke, and Theresa (Dave) Dungans, both of Shawnee, KS, and Martha (Don) Huff, Atchison, KS, sister in law, Barbara Agnew, and six grandchildren. His parents, and two brothers, Richard and John Timothy Agnew preceded him in death.
