Harriet Ann Henning, 81, of Nortonville, KS died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at her home surround by her family.
Graveside services and burial will be 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Nortonville Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 29th, from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm at the O’Trimble Chapel, Nortonville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jefferson County Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Harriet was born on January 24, 1937 in Jefferson County, KS the daughter of Clyde S. and Leona A. (Rassmussen) Kooser. She graduated from Nortonville High School in 1955. Mrs. Henning worked as a cook for Jefferson County USD 339 for over 20 years. She was also a Avon representative and enjoyed babysitting for her grandchildren. Harriet was a member of the Nortonville Christian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, was involved with the ladies aide at the church and was a volunteer at Village Villa. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was married to George Henning on June 1, 1955 at Holton KS. Mr. Henning preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2014. Her parents, and brother, Rodney Kooser also preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Dennis Henning, and Michael (Alice) Henning, both of Nortonville, KS. and a daughter, Lisa Haslett, DeSoto, KS, a brother, Gary Kooser, Mesa, AZ, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
