Bonnie June Cameron, 65, of Atchison, KS, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Bonnie’s wishes were to be cremated and no services held. The family invites friends to celebrate Bonnie’s life with them on Saturday, February 10th, beginning at 1:00 PM at 1726 Santa Fe Terrace, Atchison. Memorial contributions in honor of Bonnie are suggested to the Kansas State School for the Blind and may be left in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, who is handling the arrangements. Bonnie June Cameron was born on February 17, 1952 in Atchison, the daughter of John and Betty (Jones) Cameron. Bonnie graduated from ACCHS in Effingham in 1970 and received her CNA (Certified Nurse’s Assistant) certificate from Northeast Kansas Area Vo-Tech, Atchison. Bonnie worked as a CNA at the Mt. St. Scholastica Dooley Center and Gran Villas in Atchison; she retired in 2015. Bonnie loved her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and the time she got to spend with them. To those who knew Bonnie she was everyone’s ‘Nana’.

Bonnie and Roy Hale were married in 1970. They later divorced. Roy preceded her in death on December 8, 2015. Bonnie was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bill Cameron.

Survivors include three daughters, all from Atchison, Jenny (Brian) Spilman, Cassandra Hale, and Shelly Werner; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sister, Mary Liggett; sister-in-law, Linn Cameron; many nieces and nephews.
