Condolence: I grew-up with Lynn from Kindergarten- 2nd grade. Mrs. Rockey was my 1st grade teacher and the mom of my best friend. She was an amazing role model and influence to me. It was a relationship that lasted the reminder of our lives. I am truly sorry for your loss. Her memory is honored. What a blessing she was for some many. May she rejoice in heaven. Praying for God to comfort you and yours.

Condolence: Judy was my next door neighbor on Santa Fe when I moved to Atchison in the 60s. She and Rudy was wonderful neighbors and were so excited when Lynn came and they moved to Kansas ave. She was a real “trooper” when we shared the “stage” with the Theatre Atchison reader’s threatre group. What a friend for over 50 years!!! Hail and farewell! Prayers to Lynn and hers.

Condolence: My condolences to Mrs. Rockey’s family. I will always remember her starting our class in first grade by reciting the pledge of allegiance followed by saluting KU. As a neighbor, she was always very welcoming when I visited her and had great cookies and stories to share. She was a very special person with an inspirational spirit that she shared with those of us fortunate to know her.

Condolence: It has been my pleasure to know Judy through the Community of Christ Church. She was such a warm and caring person. She never dwelt on herself, but always inquired about the health and goings on of others. She loved her grandchildren and loved to share news of them. I learned to love Judy and will always remember her fondly.

Condolence: Mrs. Rockey was the best teacher I ever had! I have many fond memories of her teaching me in the 1st Grade, at Central School.

Over the years, I'd see her around town, and she would tell me, that I was her "favorite" student, (which, I'm sure wasn't 100% true), but it was something that we'd both always laughed about! We'd also visit about KU Basketball. Rock Chalk!!

She was such a caring and wonderful lady. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

Thoughts and Prayers to the family.

Condolence: I am very saddened to hear this. Mrs. Rockey was my first grade teacher at Central (1985) and was one of my dearest teachers. After I had my son, Conner, years later we would always share our "Conor/Conner" stories when we would see one another! She always remembered me and always asked about my family. She loved all her grandchildren and family! She will be missed and I am grateful for all the memories I have of her. An inspiration and delightful person that I will never forget.
Sincerely, Kristi Dean
