Obituary for Carol Marjorie Igleheart (Smith)

Carol Marjorie Igleheart, 76, of Atchison KS formerly of Topeka, KS died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at her home in Atchison.

Graveside Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Scranton Cemetery, Scranton, KS. The body has been cremated and no visitation will be held. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Carol M Smith was born on March 15, 1938 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Earl E. and Bessie M. (White) Smith. Mrs. Igleheart worked as a pharmacy technician in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, Topeka, KS for over twenty years. She moved to Atchison in 2007. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and especially devoted to spend the majority of her free time with her two great granddaughters, Amy Leigh and Kelsey Lynn Estes.

Survivors include a son, Allan Smith, KS, a daughter, Karen Knowles, Atchison, KS, three step-sons, Jerry Igleheart, Robert Heart, and Doug Igleheart, all of San Antonio, TX, two step-Daughters, Kathy and Denise Igleheart, San Antonio, TX., two sisters, Veronica Groves, and Ruby Glotzbach, both of Topeka, KS, a brother, Gerald Smith, Parsons, KS., two grandchildren , four step grandchildren , two great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. Her parents, two brothers, William & Richard Smith, and two sisters, Dorothy Reaser and Linda Weathers, and one step grandchild preceded her in death.
