Velma Miller, 105, of Atchison, KS, passed away Tuesday, March 06, 2018, at the Atchison Senior Village.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Cummings Christian Church, with Rev. Jim Cormode officiating. Burial will follow at Round Mound Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Round Mound Cemetery and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral home, who is handling the arrangements. Velma was born December 27, 1912 in Holdenville, OK, the daughter of John and Ida (Carney) Talley. She was a seamstress. Velma enjoyed reading her bible, quilting and baking for people.
Survivors include two daughters; Norma Conner, Payson, AZ, Karen Barber, Atchison, KS, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Bill Miller, seven brothers, six sisters and two sons-in-law, John Barber and Burt Conner.
