Anthony David “Tony” Haverkamp, 35, of Atchison, KS died on Saturday, Jan. 6th, 2018 at the Mosaic Life Center, St. Joseph, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, Jan. 12th, 2018 with visitation to follow until 8:30 pm at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Fr. Jeremy Heppler, OSB officiating. The body will be cremated following the visitation and funeral ceremony with burial at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Tony was born on Jan 18, 1982 in Atchison, KS the son of Eldon L. and Deborah K. “Debby “ (Reynolds) Haverkamp. Tony worked as a cook at the Metropolitan Steakhouse, Leavenworth before his debilitating asthma forced him to stop working. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, watching NASCAR, the KC Chiefs and KU Basketball.

Survivors include his father, Eldon L. Haverkamp, of the home, a brother, Jason Haverkamp, Atchison, KS, a half brother, Waylon Barnett, Marshfield, MO, his paternal grandmother, Frances Haverkamp, Atchison, maternal step –grandmother, Carol Hazlett, Atchison, uncle, Francis (Roseanne) Haverkamp, and two aunts, Judy Hundley, and Jeri Ann Ostertag, both of Atchison, KS. His mother preceded him in death.
