Obituary for Edwin Paul Weishaar

Edwin Paul Weishaar, 83, of Nortonville, KS died on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at the Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka, KS.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, Jan. 8th, 2018 at St. Joseph Church, Nortonville, KS with Fr. Tom Aduri as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Hart Cemetery. A parish and Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Sunday, Jan. 7th, 2018 at the St. Joseph Church with visitation to follow until 8:30 pm. The O’Trimble Chapel, Nortonville is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hart Cemetery and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Edwin was born on Nov. 28, 1934 in Nortonville, KS the son of Henry and Regina (Orscheln) Weishaar. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School and graduated from Nortonville High School in 1952. Mr. Weishaar farmed and worked as a molder for the former Rockwell International for over 41 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Nortonville, the Knights of Columbus, the Eagles Lodge, Lawrence, and enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, farming, gardening and helped with the canning He especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was married to Nancy Stillman on June 15, 1956 in Bethel, KS. Mrs. Weishaar survives of the home. Additional survivors include three sons; Jack Weishaar, Atchison, KS, Tim (Sarah) Weishaar, and Toby (Linda) Weishaar, both of Meriden, KS., five sisters, Genevieve Drimmel, Atchison, Lavern (Edwin) Davis, Nortonville, Betty Jean (Jim) Franks, Topeka, KS, Judy (John) Wagner, Topeka, and Mary Ann (Warren) Hall, Topeka, seven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. His parents, two brothers, Elvin and Vernon Weishaar, one sister, Eileen Weishaar, and one grandson, Matt Weishaar, preceded him in death.
