Agnes F. Leahy, 77 of Atchison, KS, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at her home.

Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Atchison, KS, with Rev. Dinah Dutta officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church. Agnes was born on March 24, 1940 in Atchison, KS, the daughter of Alvin and Florence (Patterson) Thomas. She graduated from Atchison High School 1958. Agnes worked for USD 409 in food services and also was a Para for preschool at the Atchison YMCA. She was lifetime member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, having served on Altar Guild and WELCA. Agnes was also a member of Retired School Personnel. She enjoyed cooking and going to Coffee Club every Wednesday.

Agnes married Lawrence L. Leahy in September 2, 1963; he preceded her in death in 1990. Survivors include a daughter; Lynnette and Scott Shannon, Fairway, KS, a son, Shawn Leahy, Atchison, KS, and a sister Alice and Jim Murray, Atchison, KS.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Lawrence Leahy and an infant daughter, Teresa Leahy.
