The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joseph Smith, Jr. can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Brittany
Condolence: I wanted to send my sympathies to the Smith family. I know the Anniversary of your dear loved one is approaching, so I was thinking about you. No doubt over the course of time you've reminisced about the memories that you've had with Joseph, and maybe that has brought to mind some sadness and lingering grief. Keep in mind the beautiful hope that is found in God's Word, the Bible. John 5:28,29 says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." This means that you and I have a chance to see our dear loved ones again, to be reunited with them right here on the earth, as God purposed. (Psalm 37:11,29) My thoughts and prayers will continue with your family.

Condolence: My most heartfelt sympathies to the Smith family. You were in my thoughts today because I know the anniversary of your dear loved one Joseph is approaching, so I was thinking about you. I want you to keep in mind the beautiful hope that is found in God's Word, the Bible. John 5:28,29 says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." This means that you have the hope of being reunited with your precious son Norman right here on earth as God has promised. (Psalm 37:11,29) Jehovah, "the God of tender mercies and the God of all comfort," will continue to provide strength and comfort to your family as you continue to endure. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) And my prayers and thoughts will continue with you.

Condolence: I want to send my love and sympathies to the Smith family. I'm very sorry for your loss. It's no way to really describe the pain one feels when death overtakes a loved one. Feelings of sadness and grief can be overwhelming during this time of mourning. However, comfort from the scriptures can give you hope. John 5:28,29 speaks of the promise of the resurrection. That scripture says, "Do not be amazed at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." What this can mean for your family is a real hope of being reunited with your dear loved ones.
