Dale Eugene Miller, 79, of Atchison, KS, was called home by God on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS, with Rev. Al Schirmacher officiating. Burial will follow at Moray Cemetery, Bendena, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Words of comfort to the family may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.

Dale was born July 10, 1937 in Bendena, KS, the son of Norman and Alice (Clifton) Miller. He graduated from Doniphan County High School in 1955. Dale served in the National Guard for three years and was a Reservist for five years. He farmed in rural Doniphan County for some time before going to work for Atchison Casting as a welder from January 1964 to June 1999. Dale was member of Muscotah United Church served as a Sunday school teacher at Huron Church. He enjoyed his family and friends, playing guitar, woodcarving, gardening and wintering away in Arizona.

Dale married Darlene Gill on May 25, 2002 in Muscotah, KS; they had fourteen and half years of great memories together. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include four sons; Ronald Miller, Daniel and Velvet Miller, Tonganoxie, KS, Jay and Brenda Miller, Bonner Springs, KS, Dale Miller II, Leavenworth, KS, a daughter, Janet and Rick Hunt, Olathe, KS, two step sons; John Leopard, Colorado Springs, CO, Duane Leopard, Spokane, WA, three brothers; Wayne Miller, Clarksdale, MO, Marvin Miller, AZ, Lawrence Fay Miller, Huron, KS, a sister Evelyn Richards, GA, eighteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Aaron Miller, a sister; Kay Miller, and two grandsons.
