The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gary Gilliland can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Brittany
Condolence: I wanted to send my love and sympathies to the Gilliland family. I know the Anniversary of your dear loved one, Gary, is approaching. No doubt this has brought back to mind some painful feelings and sadness, but hopefully you're able to reflect on the good memories as well. Keep in mind that beautiful promise found in God's Word, at John 5:28,29. It says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." What this can mean for you is a real hope of being reunited with your loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. So as you reflect on the times spent with your dear loved one, keep this comforting thought in mind for the days ahead. There will soon be a time when we'll not only be able to welcome our loved ones back to life, but we can truly experience the words "death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4) My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Condolence: My sincere sympathies to the Gilliland family. I'm very sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you during this period of mourning. A comforting thought at times like these can soothe the heart. The Bible reveals that it is God’s purpose to restore the dead to life by means of a resurrection to a paradise earth, where sickness and “death will be no more.” (Revelation 21:4) Jesus said: “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” (John 5:28,29) Imagine seeing your dear loved ones again and being reunited with them. God has promised to make that a reality for his faithful ones.

Condolence: Gary and I were best friends in high school and remained friends for our whole lives. I was fortunate enough to have visited Gary last Wednesday. We had a very enjoyable visit, and talked of old times and the fun we had together. Tammy told me then, that he was in pretty bad shape. I'm sorry to see him go, but am grateful that he's not suffering anymore. I will miss him.

Condolence: Sending thoughts of sympathy on Gary's passing. Saying goodbye to a loved one is very difficult even when it is at the end of a long difficult journey. Treasure your memories and speak of them often as you will find comfort and peace in them. No one is ever truly gone as long as the memories remain.
