The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Patty Smart can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Brittany
Condolence: I wanted to send my sympathies to the Smart family. I know the Anniversary of your dear loved one is approaching, so I was thinking about you. No doubt over the course of time you've reminisced about the memories that you've had with Patty, and maybe that has brought to mind some sadness and grief. Keep in mind the beautiful hope that is found in God's Word, the Bible. John 5:28,29 says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." This means that you and I have a chance to see our dear loved ones again, to be reunited with them right here on the earth, as God purposed. (Psalm 37:11,29) My thoughts and prayers will continue with your family.

Condolence: My deepest sympathies to the Smart family. Sorry for your loss. I know that your family is experiencing the loss of a dear loved one. This indeed is a very painful time. Please accept my sympathies. Rest assured that our loving God, Jehovah is certainly aware of how you're feeling. In His Word, the Bible, he promises to raise up the dead through the beautiful hope of a resurrection. (Acts 24:15) May "the God of comfort" give you the strength to get through the days ahead. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)

Condolence: Sad news. She was such a sweet person ^^ took her time to hang out with us kids at Sunday School. Life is crazy and death not meant to be in Jehovah's original purpose for us humans so makes me so sad to hear of special people passing away, She was special. Hope the family realizes that she is in Jehovah's memory and he will never forget her and knows EVERY detail so we all have the opportunity to live together one day on a paradise earth. Rev 21:3-4. So smile when you remember her. I will :)

Condolence: Joyce and family, I learned of your mother's death from Pam Logan. I was so sorry to hear about it and please know all of you will be in my prayers. I can conjure up memories of Mrs Smart, as I would call her, in church and at the store where I bought many a shoe in my years while in Atchison. She was a sweet woman and I am so sorry for your loss.
