Obituary for Luke Charles Helmstetter
Luke Charles Helmstetter, 34 of Lee’s Summit, MO formerly of Bendena, KS passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at his home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison KS with Abbot Barnabas Senecal, OSB, officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Helmstetter Children’s Education fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.
Luke was born on December 21, 1981 in Atchison, KS, the son of Chuck and Lucy (Durante) Helmstetter. He graduated from Midway-Denton High School and Central Missouri State University with a Business Degree. Luke was a Human Resource Manager for Commerce Bank in Kansas City. He enjoyed hiking, camping and going to concerts. Luke especially loved his children and family.
Survivors include his parents, Chuck and Lucy Helmstetter, Bendena, KS, four children, Aidan (9), Madison(9), Makenzie (8), Avery (5) and their mother Stephanie Helmstetter of Lee’s Summit, MO, two brothers; Erik and wife Laura Helmstetter, Los Angeles, CA, Mark Helmstetter, Bendena, KS , a paternal grandmother, Rose Helmstetter, Bendena, KS, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
