Milton Francis  Hines
Milton Francis Hines, 85, of Atchison, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Vintage Park of Atchison.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, with Rev. Charles Neill, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lancaster (KS) Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Lancaster United Methodist Church. Words of comfort and remembrance may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Milton was born on June 24, 1931 in Atchison, KS, the son of Frank and Ruth Alice (Bunnell) Hines. Milton graduated from Atchison County Community High School (ACCHS) in 1949. Milton enjoyed farming and he farmed in the Lancaster area all of his life. Milton was a member of the Lancaster United Methodist Church and had served as a past chairman of the church board; he served on the ACCHS School Board for eight years, two years as President; he was a Past President of the Co-op Board, where he served for eighteen years; and he served on the Soils & Crop and Livestock Board. Milton enjoyed gardening, visiting and helping others, watching sports and playing cards. He especially enjoyed greeting people as they came to visit at Vintage Park.

Milton was married to Patricia A. Lord on July 27, 1958 in Lancaster. Patricia preceded Milton in death, after forty-six years of marriage, on December 9, 2004.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Mike) Bodenhausen, Muscotah, KS; son, Alan Hines, Wichita, KS; sister, Lois Jean (Melvin) Myers, Lancaster; two grandchildren, Ryan (Kayla) Bodenhausen and Jeni (Bob) Hespe; and two great grandchildren, Brinley Bodenhausen and Thomas Hespe.
