The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lawrence Rathert can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Brittany
Condolence: I wanted to send my love and sympathies to the Rathert family. I know the Anniversary of your dear loved one, Lawrence, is approaching. No doubt this has brought back to mind some painful feelings and sadness, but hopefully you're able to reflect on the good memories as well. Keep in mind that beautiful promise found in God's Word, at John 5:28,29. It says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." What this can mean for you is a real hope of being reunited with your loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. So as you reflect on the times spent with your dear loved one, keep this comforting thought in mind for the days ahead. There will soon be a time when we'll not only be able to welcome our loved ones back to life, but we can truly experience the words "death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4) My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Condolence From: Brittany
Condolence: To the Rathert family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathies. It's hard to describe how it feels to lose a loved one in death. However, the Bible describes what Almighty God is soon going to do about death and about the grief that inflicts us when someone we love dies. Isaiah 25:8 says, "He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." So not only will God eliminate death completely, but all the feelings of sadness and hurt that we feel due to a loss will be a distant memory. We will truly be able to experience the promise that "death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4)

Condolence From: Mark & Becky Nieman and family
Condolence: Pam, Nancy and family. So sorry to hear about Pete. We always enjoyed talking to him, seeing him at church and playing golf with him. He will surely be missed. I have remembered several sayings he always said and get a laugh every time I think of them. Pete went through a lot of hardships during his life, but you could never tell it. He is with our savior now, may God give you comfort. Sorry I am on the road and cannot make the funeral but will be thinking of you.
