Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Vincent Tharp can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I remember visiting the Tharp's "way back when", usually during a holiday. If it was Memorial Day or Labor Day, everyone was gathered in the living room watching tennis, with Mr. Tharp center stage.

I saw him a few years ago at a VFW dinner, and he was the same as always - smiling and engaging. He was a true gentleman.

So sorry for your loss.

Condolence: Eric,
I'm so sorry that we can't make it to Atchison for your Dad's memorial service. I have such wonderful memories of your Dad and Mom...and of your Family.
Remembering the friendships all of us made growing up together at church and school... treasured memories.
Eric, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you honor and remember your Dad. I look forward to visiting with you at future gatherings...until then...Godspeed my friend.

Condolence: Family of Vincent Tharp

My condolences to all of you on the passing on of Vince. It was my pleasure to get to know him during my 20 years when I was back in Atchison. Such a good man. He was always so interested in what was going on in my life and was always ready for conversation. To touch people the way he did and to live such a long life is so special. May all of his family find peace in the memories of such a fine person and may Vincent Rest In Peace.

Condolence: Sorry for your great loss of your beloved Vincent.
I became friends with Vincent and Louise down at Project Concern in Atchison. I enjoyed Vincent's intellectual and enjoyable and stimulating conversation. I still miss that a lot. We talked alot about subjects on PBS.
Respectfully Jim Holtby
