Adrian Boldridge, Jr., 78, of Atchison Kansas died Sat, March 26th, 2016 unexpectedly while working on his farm.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Troy KS. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ebenezer Baptist Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Adrian was born on Jan. 12, 1938 in Atchison KS the son of Adrian and Decima (Ferguson) Boldridge, Sr. He attended St. Pat’s grade school and graduated from Atchison County Community High School. He attended Benedictine College. Mr. Boldridge served in the United States Army. He worked as a supervisor for Midwest Grain Products. He retired after 40 years of working for MGP. Mr. Boldridge was an active member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church where he served as Vice Chairman of Deacons, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the church, and was a member of the Atchison County Conservation District Board of Directors. He enjoyed bird and deer hunting, farming, and playing the guitar.

He was married to Gloria P. Sportsman on June 10, 1961. She preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 1994. He was later married to Cheryl Stith on Oct 21, 1995. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include a son: Roger (Joy) Boldridge, Overland Park, KS, a daughter: Janie Boldridge, Denver, CO., two step daughters: Angela Tucker, Kansas City, MO, and Sophia Dew, Atchison KS, two brothers: Leon (Sandy) Boldridge, New River, AZ, and George (Cynthia) Boldridge, Jacksonville, FL, two sisters: Dorothy (Seymour) Hill, Kansas City, MO, and Goldie (Mickey ) Brown, Atchison, KS, and eight grandchildren. His parents, 1st- wife Gloria, and four sisters: Doris Darlene Boldridge, Marian Henderson, Lillian Thompson, and Lucinda Herman preceded him in death.
