George  William "Bill"  Donaldson
George William Donaldson, 92 of Atchison, KS passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Medicalodge of Atchison, KS surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at First Christian Church, Atchison, KS with Rev. Dave Culver officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church Choir and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Bill was born on October 17, 1922 in Atchison KS the son of George and Anna (Sharp) Donaldson. He served in the United States Army during WWII, where he served as a guard during the Nuremburg Trials. Bill was farmer, and was a cottage parent for the youth center. He was a member of First Christian Church and American Legion. Bill enjoyed, dancing with Betty, storytelling, horses, snowmobiles, four-wheelers, motorcycles and flying. He loved music, singing, playing the saxophone, keyboard and harmonica.

Bill married Betty Keithline on July 9, 1944 in Troy, KS, she survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons Dennis and Monica Donaldson, Atchison, KS, Pat and Patty Donaldson, Effingham, KS, five grandchildren; Eric (Lorrie) Donaldson, Brent (Ticia) Donaldson, Erica (Robbie) Bradshaw, Natalie (Scott) Hayes, Amanda Donaldson, seven great grandchildren; Cole Donaldson, Ella and Holt Hayes, Nicholas, Alexis, Olivia, Ava Bradshaw and two step great grandchildren; Blayke and Riley Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother John Donaldson.
