Mildred Flattre, 93 of Lancaster, KS passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka, KS.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 10, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lancaster, KS with Sister Mary Arie, officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery, Lancaster, KS. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison KS. Memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lancaster or Zion Lutheran Church, Everest, KS and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Mildred was born August 19, 1921 in Alberta, Canada the daughter of Pete and Ida (Peterson) Abrahamson. She was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. Mildred was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lancaster, KS, and also attended Zion Lutheran Church, Everest, KS. She enjoyed flower gardening, embroidery work, attending high basketball games, and listening to K-State football and basketball on the radio. Mildred loved life on the farm.
Mildred married Harry Flattre on June 2, 1943; he preceded her in death in February 1995. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Stuck, Lancaster, KS, a daughter in law, Nancy Flattre four granddaughters, Julie Hicks, Amy Jump, Stacy Montero and Kelly Stuck, four great grandchildren, Janelle, Rowan, Caden Hicks and Xander Jump.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Dennis Flattre, a brother, Lloyd Abrahamson, and a son in law, Wayne Stuck.
