Daniel  Robert "Dan"  Erpelding
Daniel Robert Erpelding, 58 of Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at North Care Hospice House Kansas City, MO.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Father Gabriel Landis, OSB, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Effingham, KS. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Monday February 16, 2015 with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to RSVP (Remembering Sue’s Valor & Perseverance) and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Words of comfort to the family may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.

Dan was born on September 13, 1956 in Atchison, KS the son of Francis and Eveline (Regan) Erpelding. He graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1975. Dan was a foundry melting supervisor for Rockwell/Atchison Casting for twenty years. He also worked for Omaha Steel Casting and Keokuk Steel Casting. For the past fifteen years he owned and operated “Dan’s Handy Man Service”. Dan enjoyed gardening and going camping, fishing and hunting with his nephews, brothers and brother in laws. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Dan married Jeanean Coder on September 18, 1976. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include one daughter; Amy and Josh Henson, Kansas City, MO, four brothers, Michael Erpelding, Crete, NE, John Erpelding, Royal Oak, MI, James Erpelding, Blue Springs, MO, Thomas Erpelding, Springdale, AK, five sisters, Lucille Cameron, Lancaster, KS, Jean Behrnes, Horton, KS, Rita Smith, Atchison, KS, Marjorie Noll, Mt. Juliet, TN, Susan Jacobs, Muscotah, KS, two grandchildren, Maggie and David Henson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Aaron Erpelding.
