Dwight L. Peuker, 92, of Atchison, Kansas died on Monday, July 21st, 2014 at his home with family beside him.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Monday, July 28th, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, July 27th, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Trinity Lutheran School Technology Fund or St. Jude’s Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Dwight was born on Sept. 1, 1921 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Ernest and Louise (Kley) Peuker. He attended Independence Valley Grade School. Dwight was a farmer all of his life, he was born and died on the family farm. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, where he had served as an Usher, and attended Pastor’s Adult Bible Class. He enjoyed farming, raising livestock, playing baseball and playing cards with neighbors and friends. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was married to Ruth Myers on March 25, 1949 in Atchison. Mrs. Peuker preceded him in death on June 23, 2010. Survivors include two sons, Steven (Yvonne) Peuker, Atchison, KS, and Dennis Peuker, Atchison, KS, a sister, Virginia Hoffman, Liberty, MO. Five grandchildren, Scott Peuker, Keith Peuker, Brandee Buckley, Mindee Sloan, and Andrew Peuker, nine great grandchildren, Francesca and Delaney Peuker, Lorene Peuker, Austin & Jackson Sloan, Kenadee & Karlee Buckley, Rylee Peuker and Remington Peuker. His parent, wife Ruth, a brother, Ernest Peuker, and two sisters, Betty Reeves and Ruth Ellen Hall preceded him in death.
