Obituary for Annette Olson

Annette Olson, 90, of Muscotah, KS, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at St. Benedict's Church with Fr. Gerard Senecal, OSB, as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A Parish Rosary will be recited at 9:30 with visitation to follow at the church. Memorials in honor of Mrs. Olson are suggested to the Alzheimer¡¯s Association or Crohn¡¯s Disease Research and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com. Annette was born November 25, 1921 in Clyde, KS, the daughter of Leo and Harmine (Nault) Oddette. She graduated from the Clifton/Clyde High School and attended nursing school in Concordia, KS. She had worked as an LPN for St. John¡¯s Hospital in Salina, KS. Annette enjoyed crocheting, knitting and housekeeping. She was also an avid supporter of her local politicians. Annette was very dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Annette married Lowell David Olson on October 19, 1949. He preceded her death on April 25, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Bob Bonebrake and a brother, Wendell Oddette. Survivors include sons, Kevin and Deanne Olson, Muscotah, KS; Tim and Peggy Olson, Atchison, KS; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
